2026 Skyline Drive Picnic & Cruise

Our annual visit to Shenandoah this year will take place on July 5, 2026 and take a classic route, entering the park at Thornton Gap and driving south on Skyline Drive through its famous tunnel. Our main stop will be at Stony Man Mountain Overlook to get the BIGGEST group photo we’ve ever taken! Don’t miss it! After the group photo we’ll then proceed south to Big Meadows for a picnic lunch to celebrate our group photo. After lunch we’ll head back, going north and proceeding all the way to Dickey’s Ridge Visitor Center to enjoy Skyline Drive.
According to the Internet, the park entrance fee is waived for the weekend of July 3 - July 5, 2026. Since we haven’t been 100% able to confirm this, please be prepared to pay a park entrance fee.

Fuel/snacks are available at the starting location. Cruise will have restroom stops at the start, mid-point, and finish of the cruise. In order to enter Shenandoah National Park you MUST purchase an entrance pass, which we recommend you purchase online in advance.
