The Mid-Atlantic 86 Club has existed for over a decade and we are proud of the community and reputation we have built. Car enthusiasts are diverse in their interests and passions and the Mid-Atlantic 86 Club prides itself on being a group that is known for tolerance, safety, and respect. The Mid-Atlantic 86 Club has high standards for the way we treat others and behave publicly. To be associated with our club you must abide by these 2 principles:
Safety First: Enjoy cars legally and responsibly, abiding by all posted laws and regulations. Illegal behavior will not be tolerated.
The Platinum Rule: Treat others the way they want to be treated.
In addition to these two guiding principles, the Mid-Atlantic 86 Club has rules and expectations that must be followed in order to fully participate in the club:
You must own the car and live in the region to join our club and digital spaces: In order to be added to our Facebook marketplace and other social media groups, you must be able to provide a photo of your vehicle (proving ownership) and reside in DC, DE, MD, NC, NJ, NY, PA, VA, or WV. Non-owners are always welcome to attend in-person events but events will prioritize/be catered to owners.
Be Kind and Courteous/No Hate Speech or Bullying/No Discrimination: The Mid-Atlantic 86 Club is comprised of many vehicle owners and enthusiasts. Disagreements and differences are natural but upholding the Platinum Rule and being kind and courteous to your fellow club members is expected. Bullying or hate speech of any kind regarding politics, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or personal identity will not be tolerated and will result in being banned from club spaces and activities.
No Promotions, Spam, or Off-Topic Content: The Mid-Atlantic 86 Club is about the Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, and Toyota 86/GR86. Topics, activities, and conversations must remain related to or adjacent to these vehicles and the ownership experience. Classifieds, solicitations, conversations, messages, or posts that are considered off-topic will be reviewed by the admin team and removed if necessary. The club seeks to elevate its members and their endeavors, but fishing for engagement or self-promotion is frowned upon.
